tony’s baptism
After Tony was born Nilsa began searching for a church where we could get him baptized. It was important for both of us to see that Tony received a proper Christian baptism. Nilsa took on the task of finding us a church that would baptize Tony, and provide us a good place to worship.
In February, she found a wonderful church in Olney, St. Johns Episcopal. Reverend Schuler and the congregation extended a warm welcome to us from the minute we got there. After attending one service we knew we’d found a home and have been attending ever week since. The church holds baptisms for infants and young children five times a year on special holy days. For Tony, the next available day was the Easter Vigil (Saturday night before Easter).
Needless to say, Nilsa, I, and both sets of grandparents are very happy to have Tony baptized. Many thanks to Tooky for taking on the photography job. Two Nikons hanging around her neck, trying to squeeze through the crowd for a shot. Yes, I noticed! The church was only lit by candle light so the photos are dark as the lighting was supplemented only by flash.

He looks soooo cute!! He looks huge in the 2nd shot…he’s growing up too fast! The pics turned out nicely, given the very poor lighting conditions. It was fun to shoot film again too.
Love,
godmother tooky
